I was really bad at the game and did not understand the System, but that untimatly improved my expirience bc bossfights were really hard and stressful. I can remember my first playthrough really well.
KOTOR VS KOTOR 2 REDDIT MOD
I suppose the restoration mod would help a great deal. Add an ending where it really felt like your choices were pointless and maybe that was the message it was trying to send. Mind you, it said a bunch of stuff that needed to get said, and it did it with all the subtleties of a freight train. It was like going from the Bronze Age Titans to Watchmen. It seemd tailored to take every SW archetype, make them as disturbing as possible to say "You suck for liking this," stick you on a dysfunctional bus trip to hell with all of them while the Force laughs at you. Bao Dur is the sanest guy there, and he has monstrous PTSD. Handmaiden? Great arc there! Mical? Fanfiction cut him a good deal. I was not expecting someone who tortured people to death for a paycheck. No, Kreia, you aren't wrong but you are an asshole. The second game? I must have hit every game breaking bug in that thing at least twice. LS save/kill Bastila, the easy to restore DSF "kill them all") and it was like triple distilled, quarter cask "this is what makes Star Wars awesome" Big adventures, cool world to explore, several different ways to roll the ending (LS, DS. It was like a West End tabletop game with your pals. Jolee was the smart ass we sorely needed and HK was a walking ball of black comedy. Juhani needed a hug and a decade of therapy, but I hooked up my female PC's U-haul to her Subaru and off we went. Canderous started me down the path to Fandalorian hell. Bastila was trying to hide how scared she was. I only managed four runs through the second to account for both genders and alignments) So how about you guys? Which of these two did you prefer? Overall, I personally thought KOTOR II: TSL was much better than KOTOR, despite its many flaws. However, I still admired that you were at least given a few moments where you truly could feel like a villain when going the Dark Side route, unlike in the first game where you can just be a jerkass Jedi at most who betrays his/her friends in the end. My only real gripes with The Sith Lords was the extremely long Peragus arc which can really break my love for replayability, some of your choices don't truly matter as you still have to fight Kreia no matter how you play your character. I also thought Visas and the Handmaiden were great love interests (To the male character of course), with Visas being Best Girl. Atton was so much more complex and likable than Carth and Kreia was a massive subversion of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was actually great. Still, the companions were so much better in Knights of the Old Republic II and I loved how you could train your allies to be a Jedi. However, the first game still had much better planet design and the worlds felt much more alive, where in the "sequel", the worlds didn't. Only in the end is where you can truly feel like you're a villain by killing your companions but like I said, only at the very end. The first game felt like a very typical Star Wars adventure, and your character has to be a Jedi, no matter what. Which of these games did you prefer the most? Knights of the Old Republic or Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and why? While I was heavily disappointed in the ending of Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (I mean, all those hours of tedious chores and errands just for that kind of payoff?!), I still really admired the more darker and grittier tone it was.
